~~Cellulosic Ethanol - The Gasoline Of The Future?
You hear it everywhere - Everyone is talking about alternative fuel sources and for good reason! As China’s need for oil keeps increasing so will the costof gasoline around the world. We as a nation need to be careful not to get caught with our pant’s down!
We need to support our leaders, companies, and educators who are willing to help with the reasearch and development of alternative fuel sources.

Corn ethanol, though valuable, can play only a limited role, because its ability to displace gasoline is modest at best. But cellulosic ethanol, should it fulfill its promise, would help to wean us of our petroleum dependence. (Alan Greenspan, remarks to Senate Foreign Relations Committee 2006).
To significantly expand its market share on a large scale, ethanol must become cheaper. For that to happen, inexpensive and plentiful feedstocks must be found outside the Midwest corn belt. When the ethanol industry has at its disposal a variety of cellulosic feedstocks that can be easily grown in other parts of the country, not only will ethanol production expand, but costs will drop significantly.
