~~ U.S. Feels Ethanol Industry Expansion - It Feels Good!
The rapid expansion of ethanol is not only being felt here in the USA but overseas too.
Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam and China want in! They are looking at expanding their use of ethanol as fuel as well as livestock feed. Not only is ethanol environmentaly friendly as a fuel, the by-products have many benefits as well, compared to that of oil - one being that of high protein livestock feed.
Cary Sifferath,of the U.S. Grains Council - Japan senior director said: . . . . .
The U.S. Grains Council is working to expand markets for dried distillers grains with solubles, or DDGS - a byproduct of the alternative fuel used as high-protein livestock feed - in Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam and China.
With the growing need for arternative fuels and livestock feed in Asia we may be able to keep the export prices up, thus allowing our U.S. ethanol producing companies to keep the prices down here at home.
